The CASE INFO (VMRS) tab of the Editing Case page has fields for you to enter the breakdown information for a case including Location, Complaint, Cause, and Correction. They appear in the Breakdown Info section.
Breakdown Location
To enter the breakdown location:
- From the Portal, select your location.
- From the Cases page or the Search page, locate the case you want to view and click the case number.
- On the Editing Case page, click the CASE INFO (VMRS) radio button.
- Locate the LOCATION section, and enter the following:
- Location: The exact address of the breakdown or a description of where the breakdown occurred (e.g. I-95, exit 99A).
- City and State: The city or nearest city to the location of the breakdown, and state.
NOTE: If an exact address is input, click MAP to generate a Google map of the area in a new tab.
- To save the new location data, click SAVE CHANGES on the bottom of the Case Information (VMRS) screen.
Complaint, Cause, and Correction
The Complaint, Cause, and Correction can be updated directly from the Breakdown Info section in the case.
To enter a Complaint, Cause, or Correction:
- From the Portal, select your location.
- From the Cases page or the Search page, locate the case you want to view and click the case number.
- On the Editing Case page, click the CASE INFO (VMRS) radio button.
- Locate the Breakdown Info section, and click [edit] to the right of the field you want to edit.
- Enter a description for the field you selected.
- To use a previously saved response, click SELECT A SAVED RESPONSE and select a response from the dropdown.
- To create a saved response from your description, enter your description and click NEW. The response you entered will then be available from the SELECT A SAVED RESPONSE dropdown.
- To delete an old response from the SELECT A SAVED RESPONSE dropdown, click on the response in the SELECT A SAVED RESPONSE dropdown, then click DELETE.
- Click SAVE.
Once saved, the Complaint, Cause, or Correction will display within the Breakdown Info section of the case.
