There is a setting in Karmak Fusion that controls how to handle parts that are superseded when there is still inventory on the old part.
When the user enters the superseding part information into Karmak Fusion, they select whether to implement the supersession immediately or only implement after the stock of the old part has been depleted.
NOTE: That selection in Karmak Fusion will determine how the Parts, Pricing, and Availability check from Decisiv is handled
The reason for this option is to facilitate depletion of the old part where applicable but also allow for immediate supersession if the part is being replaced due to a recall or some other reason where the old part should not be used any longer.
If the choice was made for immediate suppression, when an old part number is entered in Decisiv, the new part number and information will be returned by Karmak Fusion.
If the choice was made to facilitate depletion of the old part inventory, when an old part number is entered in Decisiv, the old part number will remain, and the information will be returned by Karmak Fusion.
Once the inventory reaches 0, Karmak Fusion will begin returning the new part number and information automatically.
