In the Builder application, inspection lines along with their location(s) and outcome(s), are added to existing operations to turn them into inspections.
Electronic inspections add speed and consistency to the inspection process. Below are the instructions for creating a basic inspection:
1. Within location your location, create the needed operation (Click here to view a help video on creating an operation).
2. Once the operation is created, Search for the newly created operation.
3. Click the "Edit button" to the right of the needed operation:
4. On the Edit Operation screen, click the "Show" button on the top right:
5. On the Operation Details screen, scroll down to the "Inspections" section and click the "New Inspection Line" button:
6. On the New Inspection page, input the name of the first inspection item in the "Inspection Description" field.
7. Create the first item as "Position 1" (the next line ["Visually Inspect Lights"] will be "Position 2" etc.).
8. Click the "Save & Proceed" button:
9. On the Inspection Line Details page, click the "+ add a location" link:
10. On the Inspection Line Details page, input the "Location Description" (In this case what will be checked for line 1).
11. Input position "1" (this will e the only location).
12. Click the "Save & Proceed" button:
13. On the Inspection Line Details page, click the "+ add an outcome" link:
14. Input outcome "Acceptable".
15. Input Position "1" (this is one of two outcomes).
16. Put a check next to "Notable" if you want the user to be able to input a note as to why they chose a particular outcome (keep unchecked if notes aren't needed).
17. Click the "Save" button:
18. On the Inspection Line Details page, click the "+ add a location" link.
19. Input outcome "Needs Attention".
20. Input Position "2" (this is the second of two outcomes).
21. Put a check next to "Notable" if you want the user to be able to input a note as to why they chose a particular outcome (keep unchecked if notes aren't needed).
22. Click the "Save" button:
Repeat the steps above for each new inspection line needed, 2, 3, 4, etc...
