Simplified the Add Asset and Decode Feature
We added some instructional text and renamed the buttons to make it more clear how to use the Add Asset and Decode feature.
We removed the need for you to choose between Serial or VIN when searching.
- If you enter less than 17 characters, the system will only search for existing assets by serial number. If the serial number you searched did not return any results, you can try entering the entire VIN to locate and add the asset.
- If you enter a full 17-digit VIN, we will decode the VIN. They you can easily add the asset to your customer profile using data from our decoding services.
Just like before, if we are unable to decode your asset, you can enter it manually by filling out the required fields.
Added Chassis ID
You can now add the Chassis ID for an asset to the Edit Asset page and subsequently search for the asset by that Chassis ID on the Search page.
Fixed Defect for Decoding Assets
Previously, when you tried to manually add a decoded asset to a fleet with more than one depot, the asset was added to the first depot on the list instead of the chosen depot. We resolved this issue, and now assets can be added to any depot within your fleet without issue.
Added Calendar Order
If you have more than one calendar, the calendar tabs will now display in alphanumeric order (0-1, A-Z) with numbers listed first before letters to allow you to order your calendars by name or number.
Defaulted the Workflow Assignment to Empty
The ASSIGN TO field on the Workflow tab of the Editing Case page will now default to empty and be required for users to fill out when trying to assign the case to another user to ensure users first on the list aren't assigned by mistake.
Fixed Defect for Asset Info Display
We fixed a defect that caused the asset data on the left side of the case not to match up with the asset data in the Asset Info section of the case itself.
Fixed Defect for Notes on Service Requests
We fixed a defect that occurred when you added a note to a fleet's service request as part of your response. Previously, if you added a note, the notification email wasn't sent to the fleet. Now, service request notifications are sent as expected regardless of if you include a note or not.
Managers - Added Hours of Operation Past Midnight
You can now publish Hours of Operation that extend beyond the same day to be shared to fleet customers and call centers searching for repair facilities (e.g., 8 AM - 2 AM). These hours are now located under their own tab on the Services Provided page .
Managers - Separated Calendar Hours from Hours of Operation
You can now configure specific working hours for your calendar that are only seen by your internal users viewing the calendar. They work the same as the Hours of Operation used to work, but you configure them as part of the calendar on the Appointment Options page.
Managers - Fixed Defect Editing Job Codes
We fixed a few defects that occurred when you tried to save changes on the Editing Job Codes page.
Admins - Enable DMS Charges
You can now enable or disable the DMS charges feature after upgrading to the newest version of CDK. This feature is currently available on the Location Information page under the Features tab.
