Background
Decisiv has introduced both user experience enhancements and new functionality to help users create and modify estimates quicker in Case. The following areas have undergone significant redesign in 2024:
- Configurable Settings - provides users the flexibility to customize the esitmate operations table to suit their preferences
- Searching for Operations - provides users the flexibility to search across multiple operations sources, and an advanced search to provide an easier way to find operations directly from the main case screen
- Editing Operations - enables the user to edit operations directly from the main case screen, reducing the number of screens and clicks the user has to navigate
- Approval on Behalf of the Customer - enables the user to record estimate approval when receiving approval from the customer via a note, email, text, phone call, in-person, etc.
Editing Operations
Users can now edit estimate operations directly from the Operations table, without having to click into each individual operation. APPROVAL STATUS, LABOR TIME, COMPLAINT DESCRIPTION, SKILL LEVEL, PRICE CODE, and SOURCE OPCODE fields are all editable directly in the table. Parts, Technician Stories, Cause, Correction, Additional Charges, and Additional Notes remain editable by clicking into each line item.
Selecting the "pencil" icon in the ACTIONS column will open all the editable operation fields, allowing users to enter and edit the operation details.
After editing any of the editable fields, the SAVE button will become active, allowing users to save their updates.
Bulk Actions
In addition to being able to edit individual operations within the new Operations table, users can also perform bulk actions such as setting approval status, updating labels, specifying reasons for repairs, scheduling, and deleting operations in a single action.
After selecting the main checkbox in the header of the Operations table, or any of the individual checkboxes next to the operation description, the Bulk actions will become active, enabling users to choose them.
After selecting an action,
users will receive a loading message in the Operations table,
and then the updated operations shortly afterward.
